This is a place for me to post Bible Verses that really speak to me.

"The king is enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord". -Psalm 45:11

"For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ." -Philippians 3:20

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." -Joshua 1:9

"Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God: I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said: "In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, 'Grant me justice against my adversary.'

"For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or care about men, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming!' "

And the Lord said, "Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"

Luke 18:1-8 NIV

I have a skull crushing headache today, despite the IV I got yesterday. I pray for the Lord to end my headaches and it would be so easy to lose faith in Him while I wait for Him to alleviate my pain. However, Jesus teaches us in the parable above that persistence is important! As Eric Ludy wrote in When God Writes Your Love Story, the Lord may ask you to "wait a second" when your pray to Him. To the Lord, a second could be years. I have faith that the Lord will give me deliverance from my pain, and perhaps the wait is teaching me something important.

In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness. For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.

Companions as we are in this work with you, we beg you, please don't squander one bit of this marvelous life God has given us. God reminds us,
I heard your call in the nick of time;
The day you needed me, I was there to help.
Well, now is the right time to listen, the day to be helped. Don't put it off; don't frustrate God's work by showing up late, throwing a question mark over everything we're doing. Our work as God's servants gets validated—or not—in the details. People are watching us as we stay at our post, alertly, unswervingly . . . in hard times, tough times, bad times; when we're beaten up, jailed, and mobbed; working hard, working late, working without eating; with pure heart, clear head, steady hand; in gentleness, holiness, and honest love; when we're telling the truth, and when God's showing his power; when we're doing our best setting things right; when we're praised, and when we're blamed; slandered, and honored; true to our word, though distrusted; ignored by the world, but recognized by God; terrifically alive, though rumored to be dead; beaten within an inch of our lives, but refusing to die; immersed in tears, yet always filled with deep joy; living on handouts, yet enriching many; having nothing, having it all.

I have been frustrating God's work! I have been too nervous to talk to some of my friends about Jesus, but I feel a new kind of courage today.

The truth is is that we are all sinners. We as humans are destined to die. But there is a way to escape death and sin, and that is through acknowledging the fact that we are sinners, and realizing that Jesus died so that we may have eternal life! Believing in, and obeying Jesus Christ is the only way to have eternal life or to be reunited with God.

I love you all, my dear friends. You are allowed to disagree with me, but as a Christian, I am called to spread the Good News.

Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don't know where they have put him!"
So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb. Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in. Then Simon Peter, who was behind him, arrived and went into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, as well as the burial cloth that had been around Jesus' head. The cloth was folded up by itself, separate from the linen. Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.)

Then the disciples went back to their homes, but Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus' body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot.
They asked her, "Woman, why are you crying?"

"They have taken my Lord away," she said, "and I don't know where they have put him." At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.

"Woman," he said, "why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?"
Thinking he was the gardener, she said, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him."

Jesus said to her, "Mary."
She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, "Rabboni!" (which means Teacher).

Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.' "

Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: "I have seen the Lord!" And she told them that he had said these things to her.

I'm casting my cares aside
I'm leaving my past behind
I'm setting my heart and mind on You
Jesus

I'm reaching my hand to Yours
Believing there's so much more
Knowing that all You have in store for me is good
Is good

Today is the day You have made
I will rejoice and be glad in it
Today is the day You have made
I will rejoice and be glad in it
And I won't worry about tomorrow
I'm trusting in what You say
Today is the day

"I died in Your death my Lord
Glory, glory to Your name
Buried in the grave with You
Glory, glory to Your name
And I arose with You my Lord,
Glory, glory to Your name!"

I am full of praise today for my Prince! Easter is coming, and there is so much beauty around right now!

On my daily walk today, I could almost feel Jesus' whispering
Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.
For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone;
The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land.

Song of Solomon 2. 10-12

He loves us all so much!

I used to get my inner strength from other people in my life-- boyfriends, friends, and family. But sometimes that wasn't enough. Really, often, that wasn't enough! When I finally learned to trust God with everything in my life, a huge weight was taken off of my shoulders.

Spring in in the air in my hometown! Seeing the beautiful cherry blossoms, and flowering bradford pair trees just reminds me of God's love for us. Consider the tulip-- it blooms each spring with such beauty, but the plant itself yields no fruit or berries! The tulip was created simply to make the world more beautiful and to remind us all of God's love.

God is so good!
